Аннотация: Статья посвящена исследованию эволюции термина «national», проявляющейся в его семантической вариативности в рамках британского конституционного интертекста. Обширность семантики и, как следствие, неоднозначность наряду с самобытностью интертекста Основного закона Великобритании требует дальнейших исследований данного термина. Анализируемый термин, будучи гиперонимом, рассматривается как структура с точки зрения прототипического подхода, базирующегося на существовании прототипического референта, или эталонной актуализации специального концепта, имеющей ряд признаков, или прототипический сигнификат. С данной точки зрения термин объективируется в качестве структуры, состоящей из ядра, или прототипического референта, околоядерной зоны, содержащей референты с большинством прототипических признаков, и периферии, включающей в себя референты с сигнификатом, в наименьшей степени соответствующим прототипу. Анализ изучаемого термина осуществляется в контексте интертекстуальных исследований, на основании того, что любой текст представляет собой систему цитат, т. е. интертекст. Данный подход позволяет детально изучить варианты объективации термина «national». Сопоставление различных репрезентаций данного термина в рамках его прототипических структур, репрезентированных в таких единицах британского конституционного интертекста, как «Билль о правах» и Акты Парламента 1914, 1948 и 1981 гг. и другие, показывает, что меняется как формальная структура, так и содержание каждого отдельного синонима термина «national»,что обусловлено видоизменением сигнификата референтов, обозначаемых членами синонимического ряда. Автор приходит к выводу, что состав структуры термина «national» на протяжении трансформации интертекста становится всё более однородным по причине растущей схожести сигнификатов членов данной структуры, что свидетельствует о качественных изменениях в отношениях между составляющими синонимического ряда термина «national», переходящими в область полной синонимии

Abstract: The article studies the evolution of the term “national”, manifested by its semantic variability in the framework of the British constitutional intertext. The semantic heterogeneity and the resulting ambiguity along with the originality of the intertext of the British Constitution requires further investigation of the term considered. The term “national”, which is a hyperonym, is presented as a structure from the perspective of the prototypical approach, which is based on the concept of the prototypical referent, or standardized actualization of a special concept, or a prototypical significatum. From this point of view the term is objectified as a structure consisting of the nucleus, or prototypical referent, the paranuclear area that contains referents with the majority of the prototypical significative features, and the periphery including referents having significatum, which coincides with the prototype least of all. The analysis of the term under consideration is conducted in the context of intertextual investigation because any text is a system of quotes, or an intertext. This approach allows the researcher to study different variants of objectification of the term “national” in detail. The comparison of different representations of the term “national” in the framework of its prototypical structures, which are used in such units of the British Constitutional intertext as The Bill of Rights, British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act 1914, British Nationality Act 1948 and British Nationality Act 1981 and some other documents shows that there are changes both in the external form and the content of each synonym of the term “national”, which can be attributed to variation of the significatum of the referents denoted by the members of the synonymic set. The author comes to the conclusion that the structure of the term “national” during the intertext transformation becomes more and more homogeneous due to the growing similarity between the members of the given structure, which testifies to a qualitative change in the relationships between the components of the synonymic set of the term “national”, passing over into the sphere of complete synonymy
